What Accessories Do You Have?

As Delivery-Day approaches, I'm turning my mind to what accessories I might want to add.

I went a bit mad with my Evoque and, amongst others, had roof rails which I never used and social seating which I used only a couple of times. It's easy to get carried away, so I'm wondering what accessories you've added to your car and whether they proved worthwhile.

Obviously, things like baby seats, towing, wheels, load carrying are for specific needs but there's other options to consider. As a keen walker, the only must-have for me is some protection for the boot space and rear bumper.

So, what have you added? Mark

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Bonatti Grey

I added a few things to my car when I got it, the little bits and bobs that I felt that I needed to carry:

I replaced my LR wheel brace for a decent socket and breaker bar.

5 ton tow strop.

Duct tape and box of spare fuses.

A block of wood for the jack.

Some cable ties.

4 x emergency shower macs.

High vis vest.

Some carrier bags (for muddy shoes etc).

Boot liner.

First Aid kit.

Fire extinguisher.

Torch.

I believe that most of these items would be extremely useful. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

Front and rear mudflaps - fitted myself
LR rubber matts all round inc boot
Deployable side steps

And I'm just about to order the stainless steel insert for the rear bumper in an effort to brighten it up a bit. I need to spend a £500 voucher that expires in March and I can't think of anything else more deserving!

Dave, do you know if the standard front/rear mudflaps fit the SVR?

Some good suggestions there, thank you. Mark

Mark, no they are unique to SVR due to different sill claddings and rear bumper. I'd guess you need to ask your dealer for availability.

Thank you Dave, the ever helpful Dan at Duckworth tells me they are still "in preparation" and will be available in due course.

I guess the sill claddings change the design of the front mudflaps and the new rear bumper the rears, so neither standard set will fit.

Don't know about the RRS but I found the mudflaps on the Evoque worked a treat in keeping mud off the road at bay. Mark

I wish I had ticked the soft door close feature, as the doors have a habit of not shutting properly when you shut them, especially if children are using them. Even with the Aluminium they are still pretty heavy.

The remote heat and the steering wheel heating have been a god-send during the recent cold patch. Thoroughly recommend them.
