SVR Vehicles Delayed

I was speaking to a contact who works closely with people at JLR. Apparently the SVRs have been delayed...even 'until next year' was mentioned. Something to do with a lack of available parts...

Not sure if this is affecting those already scheduled for production? How is everyone's looking?

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

I'm not a conspiracy theorist......but what's going on? SVR vehicles delayed poss for a year....RRS deliveries delayed to to wheelnut issues....Yulong deleted on the AB and SVR after a brief spell...what's happened to the vehicles on the Hoechste something or other...(no idea but chucked it in for good measure)....LR trying to deliver my vehicle 6 weeks early unspecced....

Something's afoot....we need to know, we should be told. I think it's something to do with the HSBC Bank, because they're usually to blame...

Yes, I suspect it's lack of Estoril Blue paint that's to blame, even now, JLR people are at their B&Q searching for new supplies...

More seriously, it would be interesting to know how many parts are different in an SVR compared to an AB SC. I have no idea and I doubt DaveW will tell us but I'd be surprised if it was more than a few hundred.

Maybe it's the SVR badges which are causing the hold-up...

Meanwhile, nothing new from my dealer. My car may be built and sitting in a muddy field in Gaydon but that doesn't mean LR have released it for sale. Still, I'm passing the time looking at the Cayman GT4 configurator... Mark

Yulong was never an SVR option, only Fiji.

As for delays, who knows. Certainly not the mugs who paid their deposit 16 months ago. Censored Censored Censored

There are also issues with the final edition Defenders...

Currently awaiting a Defender Autobiography and they have a lack of Sawtooth alloys available...

Do JLR not plan things?

So, perhaps not! Laughing

Rest easy.....

I'm not aware of any delays.

As for differences in parts, well lets just say there's a good few, certainly enough to make a difference Very Happy

I don't think there's many pics of the Spectre SVRs out there yet so you'll just have to keep checking the newsrooms but suffice to say I didn't get much sleep for a couple of months Yawn

Oh no, JLR have paid him off, He's lying i tell you, Lying!!!! Razz

After lack of info about ordering, parts supply, build, delivery i have taken a seat and when my number is called i might get a car. I suspect my dealer doesnt knows anymore than i do.

Are the Spectre cars different to the normal svr's? Are they causing the delay?!?!?!?!?

I will be happy to wait if they gave me Daniel Craig to play with in the mean time. Dave, Maybe you could let the higher beings know this? 2012 Evoque
2014 Sport Autobiography
2015 SVR for the fun stuff
2016 Evoque SI4 Dynamic Lux for the daily drive
2016 Defender 90
2018 SVR

I've bolded the question so it's not lost.

But I can confirm that Dave is very much on our side. The way our orders have been handled and us treated is diabolical. This may well be the last time I order a new LR.

As for Spectre, it appears the SVR differ ever-so-slightly:

Shocked

I quite like those lights set into the bumper, maybe a remedy for the missing foglights. Mark

Order placed

I'm leasing an SVR, placed the order yesterday. July to September delivery estimated delivery as it appears all slots up to June are full.
