Gleaming again..This is a beautiful car.. !

Gave Her Majesty a good clean today and waxed her with Autoglym Resin polish. . Absolutely stunning... These are beautiful cars, the ride is ridiculously smooth, there is no gear shunt like the old RRS and in fact I do not notice any changing at all, the more i see of the old sport just reminds me of a brick now (even though I loved the car ) and the new streamlining makes the car look very current, I think btw its the aerofoil shape leads to a dirty rear end, the interior is a special place to be too IMHO. Far plusher by far than the previous RRS. (Though needs some fine tuning ie new leather interior being fitted soon following saggy seat saga and I need petrol tank baffles too), tonnes more power and 110 is the new 80 I"m told in terms of cruising speed and not realising you've hit that. Speed limiter thus useful since car is so quiet at speed... Averaging 33 mpg but hit 40.7 the other day.

Will get roof rails and a box at some point. The boot is smaller than the prev RRS but that won't be as much of a shock to what the new Disco owners will have.

Got boot rails fitted and a rear barrier (off eBay as is the same for full fat RR) stops anything exiting boot when u open the rear. I like andman's rubber mat idea and will go for those and some mud guards.

Just loving it... P400e HSE Portofino Blue and Ivory Seats.. it's like a yacht!!

Nice car but would look better if you colour coded all the black plastic.

Have you ever thought that some people, perhaps even the OP, might not consider colour coding to be a better look? Rolling Eyes 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Have you ever thought everyone is able to comment on this forum. I said nice car and my opinion I would colour code. If the op chooses not to then so be it. Whistle

Won't be colour coding, have a great body shop to do it, but don't see point of painting areas that could get bumped. Ie bumpers and protection trim. Think the contrast works well as it stands IMHO. Appreciate the thought though. P400e HSE Portofino Blue and Ivory Seats.. it's like a yacht!!

Seat situation is that Hunters fought my corner and got LR to agree to a total refit of all seats and headrests.. The upholstering will be done by a specialist in Surrey and I'm making dam sure that all cushioning is up to standard too, if not added to, I'm just awaiting Hunters telling me that all the leather swabs are in.. just awaiting one last swab from LR. Should look the nuts when done. Btw I'll get the sloshing gas tank sorted then too with a bit of luck.

Your car looks great btw... These babies are one desirable item and have a soul ! More this site talks about the positives in balance with the niggles the better for us all (and residuals Smile ) P400e HSE Portofino Blue and Ivory Seats.. it's like a yacht!!

Thanks boldlygo... I'll be waiting for your leather pics with great anticipation and move forward with mine soon after..

I was going to say... your post has nice upbeat outlook on the RRS , which it rightly deserves....

It's a shame we get detracted from that with the unnecessary niggles.... proving to be an unfair reflection of the RRS
