So I was trying to pair my phone with my "new" 2010 RRS this morning and have failed miserably.

When I press the phone button I get a message on the screen saying "phone not fitted" and neither of my handsets find anything when scanning for Bluetooth (I read that pairing needs to be done from the phone not the car) but I can't do that if the phone can't find the car!!

Is it possible that there was no Bluetooth fitted in 2010 or has my module gone bad? how do I find out?

I’ve a feeling the 10MY has a Bluetooth module whereas the 12 MY has it built into the CD/Nav unit. Can you PM over your VIN and I’ll see what’s in the As Built CCF. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Derek see if you can do a hard reset take both terminals off the battery and put them togrther and hold them togerther for about 15 seconds i think it is abviously away from terminals but should reset the ecu's

The moduals on early ones are in the offside rear wheel arch in the boot if you have one which i would have thought you did

Sadly I appear to be in the 2%.... removing the little panel in the boot shows me only one module.... the keyless entry one according to a check of the part # on it.

Is it a simple plug-and-play retrofit?

The phone module was superceded by AH42-10F845-AA which is.....the central locking module aka, keyless entry. So you do have it.

I've tried it with an iPhone 6S and a Samsung J3

The Samsung did find a Bluetooth source but when I tried to connect to it it immediately said "could not connect due to incorrect PIN" (Despite there being no option to enter a PIN)
