Gap

Hi
can anyone on here confirm that JLR have modified the build design and addressed the GAP issue on the rear tailgate area of the RRS ?
I am considering ordering a new one , but reluctant to do so if the issues have not been resolved.

Question

Really Big Cry

As Gal Dove mentions, when you are Paying north of £68K, surely you want perfection!!

I will call into the dealers to take a view on it for myself

Honestly, it doesn't bother me. Don't let it out you off a brilliant car. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Not bothering me as well.. despite my protestations before delivery that I would kick up a stink...

I think the reassurance that JLR said there would be a fix pacified me...

It is though ,on that growing list of issues with the car that I want dealt with, albeit at the bottom ..

It was robot... aka Rob T who got the article published in What Car.... interesting to hear from him and see if JLR are going to

Agree. I took delivery of my car on 24 December and it is more of a "not perfect straight joint" rather than a gap.

I agree with others that it should be perfect, but I would not let it stop you from buying a new RRS.

Hope that helps

out of interest and a bit related - if i compare my boot lid to the one in this random pic from internet

http://indianautosblog.com/wp-content/uplo...r-view.jpg

i'd say that my boot lid was about a centimetre lower than this and visibly does not line up with the top of the lights (the bottom of the lock actually rubs on the slot it fits into on the bumper/boot floor).

is this a "made in britain" feature.

The left side is visibly much lower than the right side of the tailgate! Current RRS: MY18 SVR

My boot lid didn't line up either.
I took it back and the dealer body shop sorted it out. Not a big deal really.
