Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Bali Blue

Now had the car since December. I just can't here the slosh. Even with the audio off. I wonder if the more recent models have been modified. Certainly the rear bumper to tailgate trim has been changed and it is much improved.
I have to confess now done 3492 miles and I'm very happy with the car. I can't believe the performance and economy.
EG From InControl App. yesterdays trip was 6h44m 237miles 44mpg. Now I don't believe all I see so I filled the tank again this morning and did the math. Actual was 41.7 MPG. still astonishing.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

My brother reported today that he has driven my car to give it a 32 mile run to Stirling and back and he has emailed "have you noticed the amount of fuel slap there is in the tank?" So I guess cars built in March this year are still suffering from the problem. Looks like a trip to the dealers is on the cards, I've not noticed it before. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I can't hear the fuel sloshing in my SVR's fuel tank. Not altogether surprising because with an average since I bought it of 19.9 mpg, there's never much fuel in the tank to slosh around. There's a big smile on my face though. Mark

Free TB tank fix anyway, just is rather a lot to drop the tank for some foam and stainless retainer poles 👀 None currently

took 2 goes for mine to get fixed - actually got noisier, but for a smaller range of fuel levels.

had to take it in with 1/2 full tank to show the dealer. stunningly they managed to give it back fixed but with only 5miles left in the tank...awesome. and they managed to trigger the petrol fill blocker, and I have air vent hose sticking out bottom of bumper an inch.

I can confirm this problem exists in my MY16 car built 3rd/4th week of August. Amazing LR are still not able to fix this from factory and relying on customers to talk to dealers if they notice it Rolling Eyes Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Ugh, I was hoping this would be sorted for MY16, mines coming in November and don't really want to have the dealer start ripping it apart as soon as i get it!

It seems like there is poor quality control at the JLR or at a 3rd party supplier, as the problem only seems to affect some vehicles. When I had my MY15 fixed during the spring, the garage said that they had seen quite a few Jaguars with the issue, but mine was the first RRS. The Technical Bulletin number for this is LTB00668 v2. 2015 Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6, Corris Grey

My MY16 HSE Dynamic is sitting at the dealers now, waiting on my collection. After all these posts I am not getting positive vibes ref the fuel slosh. I thought it would easily be fixed by now at manufacturing stage. I have to say considering its a known issue, how the hell are new RRS coming off the line like this. I guess the bean counters could be looking at max profit vs correct engineering, if so, thats a road to disaster. D4 2012 Santorini Black gone

Are all new cars being delivered with a tankful of diesel now to disguise this in the first few days of ownership? Previously most dealers put just enough fuel into the tank to get you to the nearest forecourt. Mine still has the problem but I'll live with it until the first service. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

May be. But I got my Approved Used MY13 (which didn't suffer from this issue) with a full tank of diesel too. I have booked it in but the date is 20 days away. Wondering if it is appropriate to get this sorted at a dealer other than the supplying dealer as it would be more convenient. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Another victim of this fault here. Only occurs when tank is just over half full. Rolling Eyes

Why they have to wait for a customer to raise a fault rather than implement a root cause fix at the factory is beyond me?!

This fault has been known for ages and even supported by a bulletin for dealers to fix from LR, yet they still just keep on pushing em out, even on MY16 cars where things have been changed / progressed.

My advise would be get them to sort it as part of the PDI. Nothing worse than having to return a brand new car to the aftersales service department for them to take it apart and put foam and plastic bags in to fix something so basic.
