Oh dear Oh dear Oh dear (trying to be polite here). Embarassed

The excuse for sending the wrong bit to Mr Singletrack is not all that good. In JE's favour I can say that the exhausts arrive with us from our supplier already packed seperatley in 'per car' kits and becasue Mr Singletrack had made it clear he wanted us to send the exhaust quickly (see his previous mails on this general subject), we did not check the contents of the box we sent to him, we just re-addressed the box and sent it on. BUT we should have checked it, of course, and not relied on the supplier. This morning we have checked the remaining bits here and sure enough there is an exhaust kit with the opposite problem, two left hand bits and no right hand. So the left hand bit will be despatched by some express courier (several pigeons) to Belgium today.

Having done that the artwork in the hallway will be so beautiful you will want another complete exhaust so that you can fit one to the car and keep one in the house. Very Happy

On the subject of coming to work in the UK, remember that there is a well-known Dutch supplier of right hand drive Land Rovers at prices below normal UK prices (BV Neyland). Being in The Netherlands they should be happy to take your LHD in PX for a new RHD when you move. Cool

On the subject of Pompus (or Pompous, as I spell it) asses Rolling Eyes . It would be a shame if JE's involvement on this forum caused friction between petrolheads. Crying or Very sad I know both CV and PB and would just like to say that I greatly appreciate the help PB gives us on the forum, but I would also advise that in other circles CV is known as one who has the sort of sense of humour which sometimes rubs people up the wrong way so please bear that in mind, he means well, he really does ! Wink

JE - you must have been on the computer when I called. The missing part for your "other" kit goes out with our courrier pick up at 16:00 today (CET) so I'll email you a carrier and waybill number tomorrow (we use a broker). Thanks for getting that replacement part out to me so quickly...I have this slotted as a project for the weekend.

I did take some of CV's advice...and have decided to replace the firewood stacks with a pair of six ton stands. Thanks also for that advice on the Dutch right hand drive RRS supplier...something I will definitely keep in mind should one of the two UK posts turn out to be a good fit.

As to the spelling of pompous...I believe PaulB was using an abridged form of pompus montana...a peculiarly British colloquialism... Sorry for the dodgy spelling, I was fighting the urge to type something much stronger Wink

I'll accept JE's explanation of CV's odd sense of humour and leave it there.

Hopefully, you will soon have a clear hallway and a shiny new exhaust on your RRS. You won't be disappointed Smile

Paul

PB, your signature should show a picture of your latest wheels, far more fun that a RRS Cool . Sorry to mention the spelling, I think I have been somewhat pompous to comment on it on a web forum, there are dozens of errors in my posts when I re-read tham. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed
