Betsy......

Here is Betsy. There's a few random pics of her on numerous posts, but thought Id put them in one topic!

When I first bought her:

Got the dealer to Tint the rear windows:

Had 2010 style Headlights fitted and 2012 Autobiography Black Edition Rear Tail lights fitted on the way home from collecting her: (Daylight pics dont do justice)

Sprayed the front grille and side grille's Matt Black. Changed the Badge for the Supercharged style. Just waiting for the Tonga green paint to arrive so that I can colour code the outside of the grille. Also removed the awful side repeaters for Smoked Black, and colour coded the door handles Tonga Green:

Purchased LED lights to freshen up the interior. Replaced the "puddle" lights etc:

Next replaced the front "Range Rover" badge for Black with Chrome. Again, Pictures dont look as good as in the flesh:

Next job is to paint the wheels, colour code the outside of the grille, and also colour code the side skirts and lower rear boot trim. Also re-locate the rear tail badges.

I think you have done enough, maybe a little too much. I like them to look original. But it's your car not mine so enjoy modding it!

BKHK - Where are you thinking too much?

Personally, the front grille will look 100% better once the outside of the grille is colour coded. At the moment, the grille area is too black. 'SRE' has colour coded the outside of the grille, and I think it makes it look a lot cleaner:

The Front "Range Rover" badges.... Im not sure of. They photograph awful, but ive stood and had another look this morning, and they quite good in the flesh. 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Darren, I Wouldn't do the wheels or any more colour coding. But that's just me.

Started the rear conversion today to look similar to the 2010+ models. Bit dark but you get the idea.

Removed the rear badges, re-sprayed them matt black, and then fitted them in the 2010 locations. Also ordered the SDV6 badge to go under the HSE.

Next the lower "Range Rover" will be removed, and the lower grey plastic colour coded with the body. Then just need to pick up the conversion kit and the back should look pretty good. Its just a shame that I cant get that bloody tow bar off the car!!! Censored Its stuck tight, and it looks awful!!!

Also picked up an eBay bargain today! Its a 2010+ style grille, and I only Paid £60 inc P&P! Thumbs Up The plan is to fibre glass the lower part of the grille, so there are just two bars showing. I have poorly mocked up what it "might" look like, lol....

Anyway, few bits to keep me going over next weekend! Laughing 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

I don't think he's had later headlights fitted by the looks of them, just pre 2010 ones with LED rings fitted.

No, they are the existing headlights converted, slightly cheaper than a full end conversion!! lol..

Bit bored this evening so had a play around with the bumper location. Not sure why, but I think it looks better lower down?

My eBay bargain bumper arrived today, so will be playing in the garage over the next few days trying to work out how to fibreglass, should be interesting!

The idea is for the bumper to look like this rather poorly mocked up version below, courtesy of "Paint." The exterior will be colour coded, and the grilles painted Matt Black.

Well its Wed Evening and ive been in the man cave having my first play with fibreglass ad resin... think I may be stoned Whistle Drinking beer at the same time prob doesnt help....

Anyway, lower grille has been fibreglassed now, so i'l leave it to dry tonight and then get back on it tomorrow evening. Doesnt look the greatest, but it should look a lot better once ive sanded it down and given it a good coating of primer. Grey primer makes everything look good!! Bit Censored off as I ordered my Tonga paint over a week ago, and it hasnt bloody arrived! Massively holding me back!

To Start:

Added the Fibreglass:

Looks a bit like soggy cardboard! Rolling with laughter

Just popped back into the garage before bed and the fibreglass has dried solid already, only been an hour! Cant wait to start sanding tomorrow... (that sounds so sad!) 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

New Bumper on the car. Surround is still to be colour coded.

Two are mocked up without the front badge.
