United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

The ATPC video does show it being very slow and smooth. I can see it being useful for a novice but I wonder if they'll get carried away and get themselves stuck. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Pardon me while I yawn about the alphabet soup which is the off-road cruise control.

This speed control is already included in HDC, so it looks like this switch is to provide the cruise control element without the HDC switched on.

The option only costs £175 so it can't be much more than the cost of the switch and some programming to separate out the two functions.

More to the point for SVR aspirants, the switch position shown on the video is occupied by the Sports Exhaust button in the SVR so I wonder what happens if you want this function in an SVR?

I expect I will pass on the this option and the head-up display but I am thinking of adding the deployable tow bar because I might start towing a trailer for track days. Mark

Good spot re the button. I hadn't watched the video until now. Maybe it won't be offered, which is a shame as it'll fuel the disbelievers about the SVR's off-road credentials and origins and give them some reason to believe the X6 M is as good.

I'm in the same position as my HSE arrives in less than 3 weeks. I don't think its a major issue as you can always get the engine remapped by somebody like DMS and you'll probably get more than an extra 14hp anyway. However it is frustrating how L-R seem to go through constant model updates which has got to Censored off customers who have just spent £70k or so
Btw is the TDV6 SE now back on sale?

I agree, LR should concentrate on building the things instead of constantly updating them which simply breeds unhappy punters. Right now, there's at least one, more likely two, model updates between ordering a car and getting it.

LR need to restrict the model changes to one set per year and avoid shooting their mouths off about something before it can be ordered, configured and manufactured. Mark

ATPC is indeed replaced by Active Exhaust button on SVR.
