Vibration

Hi guys. Not sure if my problem is transmission or sensor. I'm getting a vibration when my rrs gets to 35 mph or get to an incline. After that speed it runs and changes ok. It's been like this for a few weeks now,at first i was thinking it may have been the coupling for the drag shaft. I got that change and still the same issue. I am now thining it maybe the filter in the transmission or the fluid wanted changing. But was told that it may be the sensor . I had it place on dianostic and cleared some codes, but it show no faults to the transmission.I'm at a lost and seek any advise as to what this could be. It is a 2008 V8 3.6 diesel. Please help.Thank you

Hi,
Sounds like torque converter - also known as the 'cattle grid effect'. Try changing the transmission fluid first as this often fixes the problem (gearbox and torque converter share the same fluid). If the fluid has never been changed it would be a good thing regardless and will at least prolong the life of the gearbox.

Ideally you need to find someone with the equipment to do a transmission fluid flush as that ensures replacement of all the old fluid. If no flushing service available then drain and refill at least twice because draining only gets about half of the fluid out. Oh and only use the exactly correct fluid - LR branded or ZF Lifeguard 6. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Hi, I was experiencing the same issue with mine. Got Auto box flush done the other day and now no issue at all, I would go for a flush buddy. 2017 Range Rover Sport HSE

Cubby where did you get this done? As I'm not far from you.
