I doubt it.....

Extract:
But the programme, to be shown on Thursday, has provoked fury even before it has been aired among car-makers who say the problem is not a weakness in car security – but the failure of law-makers to ban the general sale of the devices which allow the thieves to gain entry to the vehicles before driving them away.

No matter what manufacturers introduce its some low life's mission to bypass it, cars will be stolen, unfortunately it's a fact of life. 2015 Golf R DSG

Nik,

I tend to agree thieves will always find a way to steal car. Software is hackable, look at all the viruses for MS based computers that steal your details etc...

On a personal note I'd rather wake up in the morning and find my Sport stolen of my drive, than be woken up at 2am by a thug with a baseball bat demanding the keys because they have an order to fill, who'll help themselves to whatever else they can take at the time...

It's only a car in the end, regardless of how frustrating it can be that its been stolen.

Thieves like others have evolved with time and technology from "gentlemen robbers' to thugs to computer nerds.. and everything inbetween.

Cheers

Totally agree regards the non violent theft option, given the choice I'd take it over the baseball bat in my face in the early hours. 2015 Golf R DSG

There is no deterrent to stop this happening in the first place. Chop their hands off if caught. Thumbs Up

Chopping hands off is far to extreme - just chop their head off , that will work just as well Thumbs Up
