Looks awesome - I'm still on tenterhooks awaiting my Supercharged to be delivered so I can do the same with the black badges and lettering. Apparently it's finished being built but is not yet ready for delivery to my dealer, I assume some parts shortage again. It's been like that for 2 weeks now, grrr…..

Can't wait to do the same with the lettering. I've gone for Aleutian Silver so will no doubt look very similar to Viper's. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

SOLD - 64 plate Aleutian Silver Supercharged

SOLD - 63 plate Corris SDV6 Autobiography

Dickie dealer told me they have a few cars held back apparently something to do with quality control but they can't find out what the cause is
Well I hope your car arrives soon and the black lettering and badges look great your problem is what colour are you going for on your SVR

Thanks Viper, and it's funny you should mention the SVR colour as I'm sat on the configurator now trying to decide!

Estoril Blue with Ebony/Pimento seats I'm thinking at the moment but as always I'm considering resale as I don't tend to keep my cars that long! I don't really want to get a marmite colour... SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

SOLD - 64 plate Aleutian Silver Supercharged

SOLD - 63 plate Corris SDV6 Autobiography

That sound like a great combo in fact it would be my choice it will be a stunner and good for resale must admit I'm tempted by the SVR.
But I am going to start and change annually I have arranged to place next order in February/March for a September 1st delivery but I only do around 4k per year my my2010 has only got 22k on the clock so think I will just go for same model just new colour but with pimento interior . 2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey

Gosh, Estoril with Pimento... Personally, I do think that's a step too far! I think pimento works OK with silver and black, maybe grey but not sure otherwise. Car Magazine ran a blue Evoque with Pimento and it was hideous. I'm going with Estoril and all black but I do accept that's a rather safe choice which I am making in the absence of being able to see any real cars.

As for how long to keep your cars, my view is that the SVR will be a keeper. Ever tightening legislation will make cars like it more and more difficult. The future is turbo-charging or electric and we will lose the character of supercharging (Mercedes gave it up long ago) and normally aspirated. It's interesting that where once turbo was a label applied to high performance cars, the main aim of using it now is to reduce emissions. Mark

SVR in Estoril Blue Thumbs Up
