United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Siberian Silver
Ex Land Rover Experience Vehicle

As some may have seen from previous posts, I've recently bought a low miles RRS - my first one. I bought from main dealer with standard 2 yr warranty and MOT warranty.

When I took delivery of car, there was no service book. I complained and the have 'found' it now. However I'm a bit concerned that in first 3 years of life it only covered 1,000 miles. The owner is down as Land Rover Fleet vehicles in Corby. I suspect it might have been an ex LRE vehicle as the alloys were a mess before it was prepped.

Two questions, should dealer have told me if it is ex-LRE, second, is this a bad sign, will there be exsessive wear on components?

I did wonder, got RSE which seems a bit odd as well don't know how else to explain such low mileage though Question

There are a few scuffs underneath but that's hardly conclusive I guess.

1000miles I would think the LRE cars do more than that in their time at the centre

Most likely a managers car or one used to ferry visitors around the plants

LRE cars will have a lot of signs of off road use, like mud where you normally wouldn't expect to find it underneith

I would not worry about it. What you have is a mint car with very low miles ( very very rare ) you've got your warranty so you'll be fine. Personally I can't really see them using a V8 Autobiography and looking as good as it does I doubt it's even been off road.

Hi, I recently done a LRE (Very good may i add!!) we asked one of the guys doing the course and he said they aren't sold on to the pubic. I think the one we was driving at the time was going out to the Sahara! Hope this helps!

No they are no sold to the Public, they go to a dealer auction first and then public buy them from the dealer

No ginger curlies in mine Smile

Seriously, thanks for advice guys. I'm pretty happy with the car so far. Only small gripe is that in the first 3 years it wasn't serviced, but then if it only did 1,000 miles I guess it would have been overkill. Evoque HSE Dynamic

Not sure about the service history............. mostly the servicing is miles or 12 months which comes first so it has missed some servicing. It may be that the previous owner just hardly used the car (probably worse for it than being used on an LRE Centre where they look after the cars really well as they are being used to sell the marque). 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
