I have just had a phonecall from my dealer They cannot order the sliding pano roof as they are having supply issues. Have you heard anything?????

My guy said he would put the order through with normal pano roof, as i have a March build slot and he doesnt want it
to get pushed back as I am order number 1 and he is emailing LR to ask that i would like the roof if it becomes available.

Anyone heard anything? Anyone here in the know? 2012 Evoque

I've not heard anything but will ask around. And as far as I know SVR build slots haven't been confirmed yet.

I haven't heard anything but then I'm more likely to hear the world is ending before I hear about SVR availability. Mark

ive been told to take the pano roof and keep my slot or get pushed back to May and wait for the sliding roof. (if stock becomes available by then)

i have kept the slot with the provision that if a sliding roof becomes available i can take it. 2012 Evoque

Asked my dealer this:

"Equally if there's issues with any particular parts of my spec (eg sliding pano roof) then please get in touch as I'd happily settle for just the full pano (non-sliding) roof if that gets an earlier build slot…"

And got this reply:

"Thank you for the email, There is a delay on all Sports with Pan roofs as it stands but as SVR is seprate from the norm I am sure this will be taken into account."

I'm not convinced but hopefully my message has got across to the dealer. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

SOLD - 64 plate Aleutian Silver Supercharged

SOLD - 63 plate Corris SDV6 Autobiography

That sounds like a dealer telling you what you want to hear!

LR HQ told me id be likely waiting till May. I suspect its a case of " if you dont like it, tough c**p, someone else will willingly have your build slot"

Now ive changed my mind i am not worried but i hope supply is restored and you get your sunroof. 2012 Evoque

Hi Sally,

No delivery date, in fact nothing since the dealer told me the car has been built. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was some sort of delay in turning completed cars into completed sales but of course we know nothing official. Mark

United States

The site you mentioned www.roverstateofmind.com is a US site and the 400 being made are for the US market. I work for a dealer and my dealership was only given one SVR for this year. They have already been slotted with build dates and delivery dates. The one we have coming in has a June 2015 delivery date. After doing a search for other SVRs in the LR locater, most US deliveries will be taking place in May and June.

I am not sure I would take your Sales guy seriously if he told you that each dealer will receive the same number of units no matter what size the dealership is. In fact that is absolutely not the case in the US. The dealers will receive a percentage of the available units based on their sales of RRS. There is a crazy long formula of figuring how many cars will go to each dealer and each dealer will get at least 1 SVR where a few will get 2 or 3.

Great to hear from a dealer. Thank you.

In the UK we were told several stories of how allocations were to be made, the final one being that orders were allocated to build in the order in which they were received centrally.

What we were/are told and what actually happened are two totally different things.
