Stop driving it before it goes bang!

Change the oil and filter for a genuine filter. Cheap filters can twist and crush and not long after you need a new engine, so throw £5k away for a second hand one with fitting. Don't put it off, it will be expensive if you do. Bodsys Brake Bible

Your motor has hydraulic tappets which should not make any noise unless oil pressure is low - they can if the car's not been used for several days but even then its not likely. A similar tappety noise can be caused by small ends.

Do you know if it has had an oil change recently and the correct oil and oil filter installed?

If you bought it recently from a dealer or trader I'd advise getting round there pronto. Fingers crossed.

Spain

Agree with Bodsy

The oil pressure switch threshold is very low, it could be an iffy switch, however my advice, stop driving it and get new genuine filter fitted. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
