Looking to remove the OBD cable.
Has anyone else done this to stop thieves taking your beloved car

Haven't looked into it, but probably quite easy to just move the plug away, without actually removing it.

Or install a cover with screws. '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

Given the nervous state of the RRS's electrics, I'd be mindful that messing with the port could cause some random erroneous errors elsewhere though. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Moving sounds best as fitting a plate means they will just wrench it off?

Andy, at this point the thieves are already in your car so the majority of the damage would have been done. A broken trim panel will probably be the least of your worries. LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

So what's the solution? A panel isn't going to stop them? Hiding it might. The pins are delicate so need to be careful
