It's printed of ready to arm myself tomorrow when I go for test drive!! My beloved Audi project car (running 326bhp) is all polished up for valuation and I have my list of things to mention about the RRS (thanks to you lot: IE the lettering on bonnet, alloys, number plate position)

All in all I feel like for once, I have the upper hand over the dealer!! Lets see how serious he takes me now, I'm very used to being almost laughed away for being 22... With remarka about 'daddys wallet' Will wipe the smile of his face when I drop a cash deposit on his desk along with a bank statement and my business card ahaha(that will be just to show in serious enough for a test drive) god I hate how they judge you as soon as you step in showroom!!

Thanks again to everyone for the help and ill post back how it goes !!!
Rich

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Cairns Blue

Hope it goes well!

Im only 21 & just bought a RRS myself. I had considered a Bentley before from the same dealer and his attitude then made me specifically want to purchase a car from him.

I am quite surprised that some of the car dealers judge you incredibly when going to look, Im sure there are instances when this is warranted but in a world where people do have as you say daddies money or even just look young its surprising. I've found Audi to possibly be the worst with this, BMW (my first car) are pretty approachable - I'd be interested to know what service the 'average' person receives.

I have a friend who wears a suit for purchasing a car - its not something I can bring myself to do specifically, Im the one spending the money!

Not sure where Im going with this comment but - best of luck!

I found Audi very accommodating (purchased a TTS at 1Cool and apart from one remark about me being able to 'handle the power' they were wet level headed and sent even question my intentions to purchase when I asked for a test drive!

Wearing a suit I feel is too much and will give the dealer more doubts as your trying hard to impress them

England 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

How did the test drive go Kirbzz?

If you didn't buy the car just as an FYI I've just traded my RRS in to Stratstone at Newport Pagnell but it's a TDV8 and not the S/C one you're looking I think.

As far as Stratstone are concerned I'd have to say they were good to deal with.

Test drive went well. Lovely car tbh. Few small cosmetics that I picked up on and the salesman has agreed to touch up for me, one of the side vents was 'bubbly', rear tailgate had scratches (dog paws) and wheel arch lining clip appeared broke. Apart from that it looked and drove immaculate, had such a smile on my face driving it!!

Off to test another one today and will then decide!!

Couldn't explain either, but accepted they were incorrect and would correct them prior to purchase Smile

Any ideas on rough costs of services? Minus any work needed doing etc? Just sta dard 12month interim services?

HELP: Just seen this one now and am going to view but am very curios as to why it is only £15k when it only has 40,000 OTC. Yes its 8 years old but surely the mileage has more of a toll than the year of manufacture?

Any ideas?

http://www.stratstone.com/VehicleSearch/Us...amp;type=1

Also now toying with the idea of a 3.6 TDV8 2009 sort of age as these are going for around 21k which as just about within my budget... any help on choosing a good derv that wont blow smoke within 5k !!

Cheers as usual guys !!

HAHAHA well that explains the price then !! Might still go to have a laugh as Jenko suggested !! However the rimini red one i test drove on saturday was immaculate apart from 2 minor bits of paintwork which were going to be resprayed... and on the plus side its a HST Very Happy

Going to go test drive a few TDV8's and see if i prefer the Diesel... i know my wallet will haha but not so sure the inner kid who loves the sound of a supercharger will haha
