takes about 30min per component once you get into stride.

did the passenger side pull and vents and both rear pulls. So far cost is £8.50.
Have ordered another roll to do the centre console, antoher £8.50

If you see how my driver's side pull was showing it's age with the scuffs and marks, this is a very cheap way to spruce it up and give unsuspecting passengers a "premium" feel Cool

special mention to couple of invaluable "tools" ... just need to wipe my fingerprints and put them back on the dressing table Laughing

Mark I did something similar except I did the whole dash in piano black with silver. Here's a photo:

For the gear selector surround I simply masked the area where the illuminated symbols are with a rectangle of masking tape and that was it. This was an attempt to make it like the 2012 RRS. See below:

My attempt (well garages actually Wink ):

This gave me almost the desired result, but I want to take it a step further and have circles around the symbols, and not a huge oblong 'cut-out'.

I considered using the silicon 'feet' you can buy to mask the symbols, however, this is unlikely to work as the paint will most likely react to the silicon giving a poor finish a bit like fish scales...

I've therefore considered the foam or felt type and will eventually try these. You can buy them in all sizes and shapes and therefore should be able to find a suitable size.

The end result will give you a circle around the symbol with the OEM colour as background and your chosen colour as foreground.

I will then replicate this for the Terrain Response dial.

Hope this gives you some ideas and is helpful in someway, at least in what not to do...

Cheers

Guy

Hi guy not sure I understand these silicon or foam feet. Google returns exactly that; human feet made of silicon! 07 TDV8 + BAS map

I mean something like these. They are self adhesive come in various shapes and sizes. Supplied in silicon, rubber, foam, felt etc.
