RRS vs Skoda Octavia

Well got rear ended on the A3 yesterday. Luckily I was moving at about 10mph when the family of African origin in a 13 plate Enterprise Skoda Octavia made contact with my bumper. Big Cry

This resulted in the rear plastic bumper cover falling off and a dent in the tailgate. The Skoda wasn't so lucky, it will need a whole new front, airbags didn't go off but it was barely drivable.

So it shows the RRS is a safe car! Very Happy Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Everyone's fine, as you say thats the main thing. Thumbs Up

I was on the phone with DL last night, and they'll be getting back to me soon, guess what they said, a courtesy car will be provided from Enterprise! Rolling with laughter Apparently it'll be repaired at a local garage but with genuine LR parts.

The car was from Hounslow and they weren't English so probably came from Heathrow. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Laughing No worries, the damage isn't too bad, when driving it feels fine, as it always has. Thumbs Up

It's really just a dent and some scratches, a few man hours and some new bits of trim and it'll be as good as new. Very Happy can't say the same thing for the Skoda however! As the new RRS is a monocoque, there is no guarantee that there isn't hidden damage further back. I'd be asking for it to be repaired at a LR-approved repair place just to be sure and to ensure the corrosion warranty is maintained. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The garage will be inspecting the car soon. They repaired my Freelander after a bump a few years ago and that was done properly. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

You are legally entitled to like for like. BMW used to actively promote a company called Accident Exchange. Not sure they still do.
