Hi there, Surfex HD is a fantastic degreaser and all purpose cleaner. It works very well but whatever ratio you dilute it too it well generally strip old wax etc. Which is great if your wanting to start from scratch. Snow foams are generally PH neutral and much kinder then Surfex HD. Most will also be wax friendly which means you can generally loosen grid without striping the cost of lsp you applied the week before. I tend to use both plus Surfex can be used to do many jobs👌 if you want my oppinion buy Surfex HD And bilt hammer autofoam. Then you've got the best of both when needs be:)

Cheers
Mike Always clean.

Cheers for that Mike, I'll get them ordered Thumbs Up the clay cloths that are around, any good? I've been watching some of the YouTube videos on them and the users seem impressed with them. If I understand correctly it's an item you'd maybe use a couple of times a year just to decontaminate the paintwork!

Hi there,

Yes there great. I still to this day use claybar and lubrication such as dodo juice clay bar and meguiars last touch for lube. But the clay towels work a treat too. I personal favourite is taking a circular clay pad which is designed to go onto the head of a d.a. Polisher. Then buy a circular Velcro pad with a sleeve for your hand to slide into. This way you have the same control as a claybar but on a reusable decontaminating pad. Great to use when a cars heavily contaminated👍

Cheers Always clean.

What you need:

Decent pressure washer
Foam lance (something from this page for example http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-...at_67.html )
Dedicated snow foam, but a decent car shampoo will suffice.

I apply the snow foam as a pre wash on a dry car, leave for 5 mins whilst I fill up the buckets, then jet wash off and then continue with a bucket wash. You'll be amazed how much dirt/grit this process pull off which means there is less chance of inflicting damage to your paint then doing a contact wash with a mitt/sponge.

Thumbs Up
