So which cars did you regret selling ??

After chatting with Ady over the weekend about some of my previous cars, I've been thinking about which ones I should have kept. Interestingly my recent 911 isn't on the list - too civilised and just a bit boring under the red line..

For sheer fun this has to be near the top of the list;

And this ticked a few boxes at the time too;

Thumbs Up

Just noticed you can see my FL2 lurking behind the bushes - I was happy to see that one go………. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
Ex 2006 RRS SC - garbage
Ex 2016 135i M Sport - dream car
Ex 2003 RS6 Avant - piece of cr*p
Ex 2014 320d X Drive, M Sport Touring - ok I guess
Ex 2007 RRS TDV8 - bloody loved it
EX 2007 FL2 XS - not so bad

Mapped to 161bhp. 65mpg. Unstickable in the dry, lift off oversteer in the wet. Brilliant little pocket rocket
Sold for a Leon Cupra R that I kept for 6 weeks, and it was off the road for 4 of them, and cost me £1000 in the 2 weeks :evil:

The Impreza P1 limited edition pro drive 3 door was a very fast car in stock form but of course it had the normal impreza performance modifications including bean can exhaust system so everyone in your town one knew you were driving about.

Also the mapped 535d m sport (345bhp but still got 40mpg) very subtle but still very fast.

Last but not least the vw t5 transporter kombi good at everything! But basically still a van.

Very nice choice!!

I was only 22 when I got it, the car just two years old and read up that you could get even more power. So had hks dump valve, air filter, boost raised and full exhausts system. The power difference was mental!

Oh and the plate I had was P1 7OYS.

Two cars I regret selling certainly stick out in my mind: my Mercedes CL55 AMG and my Mk 1 Golf GTI cabriolet.

My 1979 911 SC in whatever that blue was called, 1986 UR Audi Quattro in white, my 2003 BMW 320i Touring (should have kept it for Mrs BKHK) and my 2009 2.7 TDV6 RRS in Buckingham Blue.

Still thinking about a used E46 of some kind just to have that fast disappearing straight 6 before they all disappear.

309 GTi. My first hot hatch and a really good cross country car. Handling was fantastic (better than the 205 in some ways), engine was just right for the chassis, brakes were pretty good for their day - and in a different league to the cheese that a friend's Escort RS Turbo came equipped with in place of brakes. The last car I did any meaningful spanner work on.

Always regretted not buying the Suzuki Swift Sport I had as a company car. That was another cracking little car. Well equipped, just enough power for the chassis, decent brakes, handled just as you want a hot hatch to handle - get the nose in a on a trailing throttle to feel the back start to help and then power out of the corner. Fabulous b-road thrash and an accomplished long range car too - the seats were the most comfortable I've had (better even than the RRS's seats).

Oh, and both had steering feel that meant you knew what was going on under the front tyres. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
