steering wheel shudder

Hi.
I have a rr sport.i have changed the front and rear discs and pads anti roll bar arc bushes.and balanced the wheels.
I have had both the bottom front arms checked over as they were replaced 9 months ago little play on drivers side one good on the other side.
but I still have this vibration when I apply the brake coming through the steering.
thinking it might be the callipers I have the brembo system.or the alloys.

any help would be greatfull.

Track rod ends? Anti roll bar drop links? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi, you didn't say if the shudder was present before the disc and pad change. It is possible to replace the discs and trap a tiny bit of rust or dirt between the hub and disc so the disc runout is excessive. Everything will seem fine for a few hundred miles perhaps then the shudder starts. If this is the problem then the discs are damaged and will need replacing (check the runout during fitting). If you had the shudder both before and after new discs then it could be a damaged hub causing the excessive runout. Other possibilities are worn components in the steering or suspension so a full check might be worth a try. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Just had the same thing, I changed discs and pads all round, used Brmbo parts. 3000 miles later the shudder came back. Just changed the front discs again under warranty (I hope) and the problem has gone away. Will see what happens after another 3000.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Your icon says you have a TdV6 which would not originally have had a Brembo system. If Brembo callipers have been retrofitted they should have anti resonance (vibration) dampers fitted (rectangular chunks of steel bolted inboard to top and bottom of callipers). If Brembos from something else - say a FFRR - have been used, these will be missing as these are specific to the RRS.

The TDV6 did come with Brembo calipers, on models equipped with ARC/Dynamic Response

FFRR calipers will not fit an RRS

If you have a wobble under braking, then it is more than likely warped discs. What brand of discs did you use?

If it is under normal driving, then probably wheel balance

the front discs I put on are padgid discs and pads.and were only fitted two months ago.yes I have the brembo callipers fitted and have the two small blocks of metal on top.
would it be better if I removed them and took them back or take them off and do what I never done clean the face.
surely the discs cant be warped in two months.
just had new anti roll bar bushes replaced everything was ok.went and got the rr front wheel balanced after the vibration was more noticeable when applying the brake.

Had this on my MY12....

Even more baffling was the brakes sticking.... but only when I was at sea level...

When I was in the mountains at altitude they functioned perfectly.

I get a vibration on the wheel when driving sometimes, not all the time though. Just assumed it was part of the car. Should I be looking for something more? I've it under warranty now, so best find it before it expires.
