United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue
Stratstone of Luton

Well where do i start!

Had the RRS booked in on the 8th of August for a few minor faults. Ask for a Courtesy car and requested a L/R product 9 days before the car was due to go in and was told that it should be ok!

Get to the dealership to be told that they have a Ford focus as a loaner (This is not a LR product) I said at the time that's ok just get me the thing and get me out of here! I get in the car to find the foot wells are full of mud and queried this and was told this is all they had and will have to wait for the car to be cleaned.

I then went back at 5pm to collect the RRS and was told that the parts have been ordered and when the parts are in that they will ring me in a couple of days to rebook the car in and have these parts fitted and book it in at the body shop for the scratches on the tale gate at the same time. But this time they will get me in to a freelander while the RRS is at the body shop for 3 days

so all that was on the 8th of August

A couple of days go by, and so a week, 2 and 3! 4 weeks go by I ring Stratstone to ask to speak to the dealer principal. I was told that he is busy at the moment and that i can ring back later. i asked for him to ring me back and ask for a note to be made that this was agent.

Surprise surprise i get a call an hour later and it was the DP told him that my car was in a month ago and i still haven't had a call back to have my car book back in to have these problems sorted. He did sound concerned at the time and told me that he will personal call me back in a couple of hours and find out what is going on!

Did he ring me back?? Did he Censored !

I end up getting a call back from someone in the service department then had to explain the story all to her again Guess what she then Say's she'll look in to what is going on with this and will ring me back by the end on the day or first thing in the morning. I got that call back at 5:40pm today was told that they don't have my Job card anymore because it has been sent of to Land Rover and will not be back for 3 months.

She then asked me to bring the car back in so they can have a look at what parts are needed!

That's the story so far

Oh my god..
What a bunch of monkeys..

Good luck with this Jay. My dealer was a stratstone dealer as well, and i ended up having to screw at them to get them to fix my rrs when it used to turn itself off on the motorway! and i got a volvo hire jobby then.. Jay don't hold back.. F and blind at them.. usually does the trick..

Sounds like the standard load of bull from this chain. I will never set foot in one of their dealerships again.
The c--p they come out with is incredible "your job card won't be back for 3 months" in other words they have lost all your details.
Find another dealer Jay, there must be someone better in your neck of the woods.
Very pleased with my 'new' dealer, STURGESS OF LEICESTER Wink

I'm buying my new D3 from them!

Already told the sales manager that I will be going over the car with a fine toothcomb and that if there is any issue with it I will reject the car before I sign anything! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

You will probably be OK buying from them, as soon as you drive off the forecourt you can find yourself another dealer if you wish.

Given they're showing their faces here, I'd expect some sort of increase in service. Somebody ringing back is a start, I suppose... Confused
