I was going to get my RRS professionally detailed from new and have Optimum Opti Coat Pro applied.

The reviews on this stuff are quite impressive..

The detailer then suggested I would be better off with Liquid Elements Shield..

I've never heard or come across it.. but the few reviews i've read are quite compelling ..

Have you considered Ceramic Pro?

I believe Gemclean detailing are an approved detailer, he is highly recomended on the Merc forums.

Hi guys!

If your looking for the longest durability in the world then stick to Gtechniq crystal lacquer coatings. C1 & EXOV2 you will get a warrenteed 5 years no problem. If you want the premium then go with Crystal Serum. In the early testing stage before it was released you could pour bleach on a panel and it wasn't burning through. This one is also scratch resistant so great for stopping swirls from washing etc. And with a water contact angle of 115 degrees water doesn't even have time to beed! This is a whole new era of car protection in this day and age. Check out Gtechniq website as there's plenty of Authorised Gtechniq applicators around the uk for everyone.

So it looks like i'm going for the Gtec Crystal Serum TSP with wheels glass and full interior detail....

looking forward to seeing the finished detail more than taking delivery of the car.....

The car will get a real good test a few days after the work is done as my first drive will be 800 or so miles taking it home....

That looks a fantastic product, not read about it before and looked at the GTechniq video, what sort of level prep are you going for? Basic single stage polish or a biggy

Are you topping with EXO?

Might be in need of this type of service soon, unless I head down the wolf Hard Body route and do it myself

It's going to be ... top to toe ...Crystal serum and Exo on top and full detail in and out .. wheels, interior and getting a clear

shield on the A Pillars and possibly on the Grand black inside .. ...


Taking it straight down to Michael at Gem ...he's going to asses it when he sees it but has told me to keep 4 or 5

days aside....

I'm just not good enough at the prep or knowledgable enough to do this anywhere near correctly...
