I wasnt given the option recently when placing an order for an 07MY. Is there an option and if so have I made the wrong choice by having 10 spoke?

Personally, I'd prefer the Stormers given the choice but the 10-spokes are perfectly fine! The 20s fit the arches much better than the 19s anyway, as long as you're not planning to take it off-tarmac.

10 spoke as the stormers have become a little common?

John - I love the look of the Stormers and they are pretty easy to clean - however, as RRUK has noted elsewhere on this forum, they are easily scuffed. I don't know if this can be attributed to the low profile of the tyres or the wheels, but I've never had wheels as easily damaged as these. And trust me, we are very careful as we already knew from RRUK's posts that this was an issue. We have never been offroad (not even so much as pull over on a hard shoulder). I've had both and both have the same lack of rubber coverage between the sidewall of the wheel and curb.

Going back to the original question, unfortunately the factory only offer 10 spokes as an upgrade at point-of-order, but you can buy Stormers via a LR dealers Parts Dept. Only problem there is that you've then paid for two sets of wheels!

Best bet would be to grab a set of stormers off ebay, picked up a set of 4 20" replicas with full TUV cert and load rating with tyres for 1000 pounds. I'd also suggest getting 295/40/20 tyres, it may throw your speedo out a bit but the extra width will help with scuffing and the extra side wall will make the ride a little more comfortable. Trade in your originals on a set of 18" LR wheels, both the toyota landcruiser and the mitsubishi pajero (i think you call it a shogun) are both coming out with 18's in 2007 meaning dunlop will offer a decent tyre and cooper should quickly follow. Best of both worlds without hading out ridiculous amounts of money. It wasn't a matter of not being able to afford original stormers, i just thought it ridiculous to pay 3 times as much for the same thing

Both sets look good on this car, especially when its on the move.

Lots of people have gone for the Stormers and all I will say is that if you buy either, there's no point in buying the OE ones, better off saving your money and getting fake ones from ebay or suppliers who advertise in LRO such as Nene Valley or Silverline.

They also sell them with higher profile tyres which may be advantagous off road (275/45/20 as opposed to 275/40/20) L319 D4 HSE
