Opinions on this grill?

It is shown on a car on the Kahnproject website. The thing is its sprayed silver and i think it might look abit odd next to the chrome fog light bezels i am going to be putting on.My car will be Java. They do a chrome one but its £799.00

I think they look ok except the price! Get your local bodyshop to do it - it'll cost far far less! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Anton - the grille is merely a Supercharged look but with the outer grey surround colour coded java Black. I think it looks ok but personally having looked at this myself for my Supercharged - I didn't bother - the more I looked at the front I thought that the grey outer to the grille looked and blended in well with the lights.

However I had my original supercharged vents colour coded on the outer edge - leaving the mesh as original. [ as per your photo ] that does look much better on a Java Black car.

Here is a pic of the fron of mine - see if you can see what i mean about the grille outer in grey blending in with the colour of the lights ?

Does the grill come apart into the two sections then?
ie, the silver and black bits?

I think it would look better with the standard supercharger vent finish left on and java around the sides.Whats peoples opinion?im going to be putting the chrome fog light surrounds on and i think the Silver paint will look tacky with the chrome bezels below it.

The grill is made of 2 parts heat welded together. Yes the silver part comes off the grey part if its a SC grill. (Grey from grey normal grill) A good bodyshop will be able to take he two parts apart, paint and reattach. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Aye, not an easy task to separate them but they do come apart. I think the black grille surround might look good if you're going to do the chromed fog light surrounds... so then to colour code the side vents too?

OK - finally tracked down a supercharged car with coded grille and in my opinion in Java Black the front grille does not look right coded black on the outer pieces Confused The factory grey looks better as blends with the lights.
It also looks too glossy next to the lights as well !

I know it's all subjective, but I don't think it looks too bad. That said, I do prefer the original SC grille.

i think the sidevents look good colour coded with the paint, but i think the front grill looks odd with the side bits in body colour, would have to agree with MDP all the way with that..

Also agree, no point colour coding the Black Java RRS.. bet it cost a fortune and hasn't provided much better visual look to be fair. all imo obviously..

I'd agree - in fact I bought a black edged grill off ebay, but decided it just aint right - it needs the original grey edges to blend into the lights more. If anyone wants the black painted one just PM me, its boxed up and ready to sell (cheap !!!)

I think the black coded side vents look very cool - might be next on the shopping list for me !
