What should I look for on collection...

My RRS is being built this week so I'd expect delivery fairly soon.

What should I look for / checks to perform upon delivery in order to formalise acceptance?

Obviously there are the standard things scratches, damage etc etc...should I be doing any sort for systems test or drive?

There is the bumper seal issue which I'll defo check for...but are there any other issues anyone has spotted with the car which I should be on the look out for?

I've never bought a new car...and I'm not to proud to say I'm slightly worried.

If I decide there are things which are not right with the car I suppose can I refuse delivery...but I'm not sure that realistic.

I have every faith in JLR but I want to be prepared. If anyone has any pointed I'd love to hear them.

Thanks!

I've picked up many a new RR... never had any reason whatsoever to complain about anything of any great significance ...

nothing to ever consider refusing to accept delivery....

Do have a close look round the car for apparent marks , blemishes to the paintwork.... inside leather... etc

Of course anything you find you are not happy with , bring it to the attention of your dealer...

You know of the boot gap issue and that there should apparently be a mod for it...

I'm sure it will all be good... most of all enjoy and savour the experience of collecting your first brand new car...

and a mighty fine one at that... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

What you need is for someone to pick it up for you, perform an inspection, liaise with the dealer and run it in for a couple of months on your behalf. As luck would have it I am available to do this for you. I await your instructions! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Check the back red brake callipers if you have ordered them in red - Mine were scratched from factory and will be replaced as soon as I go back to Belgium. Many here have complained that the paint peels off in time,

Don't inspect it in the rain!
Most cause for concern is door dings and scratches, so have a good look down the sides from front or rear, you would be amazed at the number of cars that are delivered to the dealer with bashes. My RRS is the only new car I have picked up that had major scuffs to a bumper, it was replaced within the week.
Make sure the spec is what you have ordered. Anything else can be fixed under warranty

Cheers
