Code crack, navigation input on the move.

Thanks to a friendly LR source.

You can enable the navigation on the move whenever you want it with a few extra steps.
I've tried it and it can be entered on the move to enable nav function input.

1. Press button to 'Navigation Menu' screen.
2. Press centre of screen to right of word 'menu' for 5 seconds or until diagnosis keypad appears.
3. Put in 1791 and press 'OK'
4. Screen will go back to diagnosis waiting for another code. At this point press the 'return' arrow at top right of screen.
5. Navigation menu will appear with full functions.

This is a one time per journey, i.e. Ignition off, car locked and after 5 mins the system defaults back.
Still it's better than nothing and with practice just takes a few seconds extra.

Happy motoring.

Hi Rob. Do you know if there's anyway possible to default satnav so the map displays on screen at start-up WITHOUT having to press accept (nuisance)? Thanks

If LR have bee able to modify "entry on the move" for the 07 model year RRS's ......??? then why is it not possible for our cars to be modified accordingly at the dealership with a software upgrade amd if necessary replacement DVD sat nav disc Rolling Eyes even if we had to pay to have it done!

Has anyone actually tried putting a different satnav DVD in the player to see if it works, like a BMW version for example?

I would try it, but I don't have one to try. It will either play, or not play. L319 D4 HSE

I think you asked this before, RRUK.... I thought I had a BMW disc from my M3 but couldn't find it to try. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it worked.
