Iran for the World Cup

Don't really give a stuff who wins, but picked Iran out for our charity sweepstake at work! Didn't even know they had a team in it! Oh well!

Obviously I'd like it if England won but I won't be watching them play!

As ever, I hope England get knocked out nice and early - then the media can calm down and we won't have to have football rammed down our throats every five minutes...

How anyone can get away being so well paid and yet so poorly performing as English footballers is beyond me. They could almost be bankers! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Shocked Shocked Who needs enemies and all that....

I hope we do extremely well and if we can get out the group stages I'm confident we can reach the semi's at least!

RRSTDV8 does have a valid point though; what they earn in a week would take the rest of us years to achieve and if you look at World Cup results, the last time England won it was in '66!

They earn a horrendous amount of money but ultimately that is what the club decides to pay them. The majority of revenue is from TV deals, and it's us, the general public that fork out up to £40 a month to have the comfort of watching them from our front rooms.

That's not including the replica shirts and tickets and other guff we buy from our clubs.

At the end of the day, the players are there to make a livelihood (albeit a very good one) and will take all the club is prepared to offer them.

I suggest sitting back and enjoying it Cool LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

Promising display from the boys and we deserved a point at least after dominating the second half.

Typical Italian football really, once they got the 2nd, put Thiago Motta on and parked the bus. They didn't get out their own half for the last 40 mins. Saying that, we were not clinical enough and when we got the ball in the box there was no quality. Sterling was excellent.

Massive game against Uruguay, just have to hope Suarez isn't fit! I'd like to see Barkley and Lallana start in place of Hendo and Welbeck. LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

You have made me show a bit of interest by having to Google who Iran played! It was Nigeria!

How frustrating are England to watch Question Yawn I sometimes wonder if they know which direction they are playing Whistle 1 pass forward 3 passes back and usually the 3rd pass is to the opposition. Oh Rooney has just tripped over the ball and equalised. What a load of Censored they are, they are embarrassing. Embarassed Certainly not world class. Whistle
2-1 Down Whistle You have to ask... Who's side is Cahill and Gerrard on with their contribution they made to Uruguay's 2nd goal..... Banging Head
