No mate, Iain had his in October and sold it not that long ago.
This is a new client, got the car from Dick Lovett in Swindon, picked up on Friday.
They are relative bargains now, and a lot of people are saying, they are at the right side of £50k, which they should have been from the outset.

Exactly what I was thinking... they used to have the same argument with the E46 i.e. 45k for a 3-series!

[quote="kam100"]Ant, thank you so much for the feedback.

Quite interested to hear the stuff you mentioned about the diesel.. conversation to be continued at some point i think.

Yes, further news on the bio diesel front. I've got the Bio diesel converter now, but haven't had a chance to use it yet, I collected it the day berfore I flew back to Canada this trip, so all a bit rushed. Shocked
However, when I get home, I'm going to make my first batch of Bio diesel at 19p/litre and try it in the old Defender. If that works, I'm going to run the Renault Grand Scenic on it. (My RRS is petrol so no good for that - anybody know a cheap way to make ethanol?).
Will post again once I have some results.

Jay, it's made from Vegetable oil, (either used or new). I'm fortunate inasmuch as my other business generates a supply of used veg oil that I would normally have to pay to have removed and recycled. With the BioDiesel Processor I can turn the used veg oil into fuel. It can be used in any diesel engine (or my oil fired heater to heat my business premises). It has to be filtered, de-watered, heated, mixed with a catylyst and methanol and finally "washed and dried" before it makes good quality fuel. The emissions are less than petro-diesel and the engine runs better on it (theoretically!!). There's no duty to pay to Mr. Brown and Mr. Darling and the cost is about 19p/litre. I'll make 2500 litres/year for my vehicles and the excess will be used for heating.
I'm also after a decent pre-1972 diesel Land Rover, so I can run it tax exempt, duty free, and less than 150 quid/yr for insurance.
