Goes on a bit but...

Very recently I had a very unpleasant encounter with a deer at 70mph on the M40 south of Oxford, fortunately (for me) the poor thing actually hit my nearside front wing rather that a square on front impact, the result was a dent in the said wing another dent in the door and another in the rear door with no paint broken...couple of days later took motor to a GS dealership (RRS bought from GS) who had spouted the praise of their PDR abilities to get a quote, the chap came out equipped with his pentax camera, took one look and said 'you know this is going to be expensive'....'you do know that repairing RRS's is a very specialised job'....he told me that the damage was far too extensive to do a paintless dent repair and that the whole side would need stripping, dents repaired and the complete side resprayed with 'very' special and expensive Landrover paint....he emailed a quote through to me, £1630 and 10 days work....and if I needed a courtesy car etc he would need to increase the quote to cover...and if I was going down the insurance route then it would be even higher ....anyway a call to a well known PDR specialist and an old boy came out and said yep no problem...worked his magic...and I mean magic...the dents have gone...no trace....stunning work...and charged me £90 +vat...

Name and shame the lot of them, bunch of w ers TDV8 2007 window tints, side steps.

I would ask them to explain, why it would cost more for insurance for the same job and mention their practices to trading standards

Don't think you will get them on say what it needed as it would be said that it was his opinion and PDR wasn't an option he thought would be possible

Would have had to sell the Venison to just pay for the paint on the GS quote...£499....yep that's £499 just for the paint...but after all the chap said 'the paint used by Landrover...oops sorry Range Rover'...'because they are different you know'...is very special paint....oh yes its special alright, its exactly the same paint used by all other automotives...

Basically his attitude was well people who can afford to buy these things expect to pay premium prices for everything associated with them....
