i think it can be said that both LR's are great vehicles in their own right, they just cater for different needs. I looked very seriously at both before i purchased and in the end it was the more engaging drive and the fact i didn't need acres and acres of room for kids and the like that lead me to the RRS. Agreed you get a lot of car for your money with a HSE D3 but it aint got Range Rover on the bonnet either....... In the end it all comes down to whether you need the space and seats provided in the D3, if not i'd go for the RRS everytime
