Additional ambient lighting

Anyone ordered the extended grand black wood veneer and additional ambient lighting option....

I´ve ordered it but my dealer isn´t sure of what it comprises....

I hope the ex ambient lighting is significantly better than the standard one which appears quite lame.... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

I asked the same question too, but also didn't get an answer. Mine didn't know what the 'with autobiography extended wood veneers' bit meant either.....

Yes it does seem a lot to pay for a few LEDs sprinkled around the place. I like the black lacquered trim instead of the rather industrial finishes - especially the turned metal one on the AB - but why this choice should be linked to an ambient lighting option, I do not know, unless the controls fitted into the trim have additional back-lighting.

Generally, the brightness of this ambient lighting makes it hardly noticeable and then only when it's pitch black outside.

What you can be certain of is that you'll get zero return on it at resale so if you have it, it's because it's nice to have. Mark

It isn't. You can have Grand Black wood without the extended ambient lights, whatever they are.

Hi Guys, I have extended Black wood and lighting.
You get LEDS in the door buckets at the rear and front.
You also get extra storage bins in the front door behind the Black wood on the door.
The rear doors only get extra black wood on the door.
I have attached three pictures to try and show you.

Hi Dickie.

Its Indus Silver with black Santorini roof.
The Aleutian Silver you have ordered, is a bit more blue.

Fin.

Hi Fin....

Any more pics of the exterior by any chance ... maybe in different light or sun....

The configurator is so misleading....and the colour sheets in the showroom sometimes don´t do the real car justice ....

This is the only colour that I think could get me to switch out of my beloved Fuji....

My son has been harping on at me about a colour he keeps seeing in London and telling me to change.... sent him a link to your car..... and it´s the one !!

IMO... light colours show off the beautiful lines of the RRS so much better...

Thanks for the pics. That doesn't seem to have any more wood than the standard grand black trim.

I understand about the additional lights, but I still don't understand why it's called "grand black with extended autobiography wood veneers......",

Are we paying an extra £400 just for more lights?

Ranger.... i'm pretty sure you will find the GB is extended on both the front and rear doors.... below the door handles...and extra storage bins
Look closely at fin's gallery......

Andman,

Thanks for the reply and for making me re-look at the pics. I just noticed the opened storage compartment in the first pic, covered in black wood, and it all makes sense now....

Still fancy seeing it in the flesh, but will probably stick with this option anyhow....

Cheers!

Are those pieces of shiny black wood ideally positioned to get kicked and scuffed as people get in and out? Mark
