England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Nara Bronze
WOW 43 MPG!

Just returned from a week in sunny Cornwall.
Staffordshire to Cornwall, 300 miles at a steady 70mph with about 30mins stop/start traffic jam and my new sport averaged 42.8mpg, and that was with a bike rack fitted.
Journey back at between 85/90mph and averaged 33mpg, pretty impressed. Very Happy

Also I could not here any noises come from the tyres at any motorway speeds.

Hi Simonst
I was in Bude last week with our new RRS HSE, which we had only just picked up from the dealer in Taunton on the Saturday. We too saw good MPG and similar to your 42 and have not seen it drop below 38mpg for the first tank full. On the second tank full we still got over 40mpg, but will do a real test of cost to fill and miles it does at some point in the future. Our previous RRS SDV6 at best did 36 with an average of 32-33mpg bases on the trip computer, therefore very happy with the new cars figures.
I cannot believe how different the 2 cars are, I thought our MY12 was great, but this one is in another league.
How are you liking your sport?
Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Sumatra Black

Remarkable. The other weekend I did a 350-mile round trip. Going I had a set of four heavy wheels in the back so had to accelerate and brake softly to stop them slamming into the car or each other. Didn't hang about once travelling though, and returned 24 mpg. On the way back it was back to the usual 18.

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Nara Bronze

The car is amazing, I came from a 2006 HSE which I had from new and the most mpg I ever saw was 33mpg, but usually about 28 mpg on a long motorway run.

One of the biggest surprises is the way it picks up speed and how quick the gearbox is at shifting down, the 2.7TD really was slow on both fronts. 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6
