CD Player playing cd's but in terrible quality+Aux issue

Hi all, new here

I have a 09' HST , and the cd player worked fine since new, but recently it has been either not playing CD's, or playing them in horrendous quality, sounds like it cant read the cd mainly. How do I solve this issue?

Also, I want to start using the auxiliary for music, but my car doesnt have the input in the centre console and also hasnt got the input behind the centre console in the small storage compartment. Are there any other alternatives to installing an aux by taking out the headunit?
