United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Nara Bronze
Leaking transfer box

Crying or Very sad Just had my RRS 2010 serviced at LR Colchester to be told the transfer box is leaking and will cost £650 plus vat to split, reseal and refill. Mileage 55K. Is this a common problem? Disappointing on a 4 year old car that to the best of my knowledge has only been used on the tarmac. Is the price reasonable?

My 2008 TDV8 (78,000km)has just had its annual service - same story - they said the transfer box leak was so bad I should have seen oil/fluid on the garage floor. There was no evidence of a leak on my floor!! They charged R6,000 (GBP650) to replace the seals. I presume this is a fairly common problem.
