My dealer put me onto www.transk9.com for a dog crate, but they do lockable gun drawers too for the boot - look very impressive, straight out of the A team!

update - specifically http://www.transk9.com/index.php/storage

Hope this helps.

work in progress

main drawer deigned to be as wide as possible so i can get to the spare wheel toolkit whilst the main drawer body remains fixed in the boot sing the load anchors

each 'wing' lifts to allow access below for anchoring it down, and a little extra storage - jacket dog lead etc

chamfered diver to hold a pair of guns, so the stock will fit in here, lower segment at top will house the barrels

the row of 'apertures' will be to hold a row of glasses used to determine our shoot peg, and the dividers at the back for my cartridges

the front of the drawer will be finished in grand piano black next week so it matches the trim on the car

heavy duty runners been used to take a load of 100kg so should be man enough

any thoughts, comments much appreciated before its fnished

the final trim internally will be revealed soo, it isnt getting left like this btw! 2010 RRS HSE 3.0 tdv6 2010MY

Yes - the £600 put me off too and the dog was a quivering wreck every November so I spent the money on kayaking instead Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

i got a quote from this guy..just to see
http://www.boxwoodcraft.com/bootchests.html

and this was the reply

the price for a Single Tier Chest with a Single Draw, housing a Breakdown Case for a Pair of Shotguns, Cartridge Store and x1 Bottle with x10 Tot Glasses would be in the order of £3125 + Del. in grand piano black
For a Chest along the similar lines as above, but finished, in say, American Black Walnut, would be £2250 + Del

i think i may have a seller if i ever decide to get 'shoot' Razz of the sport 2010 RRS HSE 3.0 tdv6 2010MY

looks good so far
think id cover it in the same carpet/matting as the rest of the inside of the boot would protect the wood hide any dings etc from dropping shopping on it deaden sounds a bit , and look very OEM and would be deep enough to hide hinges
also to anyone having a quick glance or a nosey through window/open boot wouldn't hardly stand out. only the dead truely know peace,
Bootneck its not a job its a way of life!

The OEM rubber boot mat would do a good job of disguising the false floor and has the benefit of being hard wearing, noise deadening etc. You'd need to trim the bit that sits at the rear as it would overhang the drawer otherwise.

Looking good. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The oem would be good.....but

The floor pattern is different when the box is raised by 120 or so mm for instance the inner arches aren't as prominent and the back of the seats is further into the boot space

A black "auto" (car) spec carpet should be okay, will keep you posted as work proceeds, the back has been sprayed today and getting lacquered and polished Iver the weekend....should be fit and gleaming soon! Wink 2010 RRS HSE 3.0 tdv6 2010MY
