Help

Sat Nav screen stuck
I have a range rover sport 2010 I went into the diagnostics menu on the sat Nav. I did a smart test and it says smart test - ok. Please turn off ACC and wait 2 minutes before restarting.

Need some help as I can't get this message off the screen? I don't know what the message means.

Confused

Did you ever find the solution to this? Same thing has just happened to me...

Edit: or, obviously, if anyone else knows what the solution is here, I'd appreciate the answer!

Just to update, in case anyone comes across this via Google, like I did:

- I was able to drive the car OK, but various combinations of restarting the engine etc did not seem to work.
- I left the car overnight (having set it into the mode late in the evening), and everything was back to normal at lunchtime the next day when I checked.

So, no doubt there is some way to get the car to leave this mode, but if like me you cannot find it, simply leaving it for a while does work.

SMART stands for "Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology", and is a standard feature of modern (and not-so-modern) hard drives. It's found in just about every hard drive around nowadays and in short it's a technology that allows you to monitor the health and performance of a physical hard drive. You could quite happily run a "SMART health check" on your own computer. I'm a tech bloke so saw the test and knew that I understood what it did and could interpret the results - turns out I should have had a little less trust in the software Wink

It seems that there is a small bug in the software in that there is no button at the end of the test to allow you to return to the menu (or, there is a well-hidden and ill-publicised secret incantation that must be performed to do so instead).
