2010 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
RRS Has landed

Finally after 9 months of waiting, the eagle has landed.

Driving it over to my detailer's workshop at the crack of dawn tomorrow where two people will work on the car for approx 7-8 ours (effectively 2 days work).

Lee told me to ask the dealer to not touch the car at all in terms of washing and prepping. As you can see from the pictures, they obviously took this quite literally Shocked

Interior pictures first, body pictures to follow after detailing.

Yes I have to say I spilled my coffee all over my keyboard when I saw that interior.
If I was influenced by crack cocaine I think I would have struggled to order that combo.

Mark,
I don't think its scratch resistant at all. My daughter has a large piano with exactly that finish and even a light clean with polishing cloth can leave a few swirls. Easy to get rid of though so no big deal, and certainly worth the classy look it offers.

Getting a bit dark now and went out to play with the mood lighting and I have to say, the red glow bouncing off piano black in the dark cabin is pure class. Really glad I ticked the right box. Current...

Guys you really need to go and see the ebony/tan interior in real life. It is impossible to capture correctly on picture. I tried to make 5 picture and none of them showed the same hue.

I must admit though it is scary when seeing it on this picture. But believe me I was 100% set on an ebony/lunar interior until I saw the ebony/tan. It is not that aggressive, shows a warm tint and what you cannot see is that the AB seat box stitching is in black, creating a nice contrast with the tan.

Congrats on the new ride!

And, to be honest, I quite like the Ebony/Tan Autobiography interior in the RRS, it looks great irl, very classy and it will surely be in my spec when I order an RRS since we switched to an Evoque order (this was the more sensible buy right now). We'll probably keep the Evoque for my wife and order an RRS in 2 years time, I wonder what'll have changed by then. These will make a nice duo imho Idea

Further more, I don't think about re-sale when I order a car, I want to drive a car that I like, I'm not spec'ing a car for the one that gets it after me.

Ah well, back on topic, enjoy the new ride!

Black and tan is a nice combo in reality. I hope it reduces resale values though because that'll make it cheaper for those of us who let others do depreciation Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
