I was near the dealers this morning so I thought what the hell. I'll go and take a look before delivery (on Thursday now).

Shame the weather was horrible. Mariana black looks very black in this weather lol

Agree, they look much better without them in my view also.

First thing I did with my Evoque was to de-silver it Cool
Can't stand the horrible silver contrast front and back on the Evoques so had mine wrapped in gloss black to see how it would look with a view to having them painted later on. Absolutely no need.

Cost £80 rear, £70 front and it was done on my drive in under 3 hours. No body shop boys on a joyride or dinging the car in the workshop. Did it back in September when I picked up the Evoque and still looks perfect.

Obviously no need on the RRS.

Hi Senna, was the tracker an insurance requirement or peace of mind? My insurance company has not asked for one on our HSE due late April, which was a surprise as we had to have one on our current MY12 HSE. Thumbs Up

Tracker was piece of mind really.
My insurance company did not require it though I suspect my premium may be a little lower than without it (probably not by much mind and certainly not £170 per annum the cost of Tracker subscription) Current...

Interesting on the tracker. Always had to have them on my porsches. Admiral have told me not only do I not need one on my RRS arriving in April but that it would increase the premium as it is a modification. Seems crazy. Given my car will be parked on the street in London I am still mulling over a tracker but will probably duck the annual cost and hassle 2010 997 Carrera S

Yep, just like when I got 3 points (SP50) on my clean license in 2009 and my insurance came down by £12.

Yes insurance companies are odd. Some will increase your premium if you garage your car which I understand to a point because there is a higher chance of accidental damage. It is also cheaper if you put your spouse(wife) on the policy. They can also be quite savage if you put on aftermarket wheels or something like a stainless exhaust and increase your premium significantly.

Saw my car for the first time today.
Unfortunately though it wasn't quite right..................no contrast roof Big Cry
I'm a pragmatic sort of bloke so I didn't throw my toys out of the pram and to be honest it still looks the nuts!
But for my inconvenience after deducting the cost of the roof, I got the 5 year service pack thrown in which I thought was rather decent of them.
They did say that they would paint the roof but I didn't want them to. Factory or nothing for me.
Looking forward to Friday now!!

As an aside, does anybody else think the rear brake callipers aren't as 'red' as the front ones ?? ( if you've ordered them )

The front red brakes are very red, a ceramic or enamel coating I would think, the rear one are nothing like, not even a nice smooth shiny red.. 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
TDV8 HST Stornaway on a 08.. remapped.. now gone and replaced, was a mighty fine car..
