What's going on with my insurance company???

Went online to get a quote for the new car arriving end of the month (old RRS policy expires then too) and after completing the online form, I got this message....

Sorry, your car value is too high to be insured at the cover level you have chosen.

I'm pretty sure I didn't opt for third party fire and theft lol.

What in the world is going on here. I need to ring them or change insurance companies. Current...

Some insurance companies have a upper limit that they can't quote for, or usually require a tracker over a certain value of vehicle, i had this when searching for insurance for my new sport when swapping over from my previous sport. I'm now with Admiral.

^^^ This Thumbs Up
Most of the mainstream companies that quote online seem to have a £50k threshold that requires some input over the phone. I had similar when I was insuring my new SDV6 a couple of years ago. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

I have been with SAGA for years as I need unlimited upto 6 months European cover. SAGA have been gradually increasing year by year and would not negotiate. NFU love 4x4s ang quoted £100 less than SAGA. Will change to them on renewal. Unfortunately A Plan could not cover me in Europe past 60 days.

hi Nigel54, I've been with Saga for a couple of years, but when I phoned them last week to notify change to a MY14 hse dynamic sport they wouldn't cover me unless a tracker was fitted, at my expense. As I'm not prepared to pay for a tracker they refused to cover the new car, & charged me £40 for the privilege of cancelling it. However, as a result I went on gocompare site, & got a choice of three companies, Lloyds, M & S, & Tesco for £201, no tracker & a free stuffed weasel.

SAGA getting too greedy and missing safe bets like us. My issue is few companies will cover upto 180 days European travel.
