For all of you guys using your car for your company.If it belongs to you then you can claim back 40 pence for every business mile that you do in it.the inland revenue will give it in a form of tax relief but if you can contact them then they will release it.If i remember right you can only claim upto 10000 miles ,but still £4000 a year.

As I understand it (and I've been doing this for some years), If your company pays you an allowence per mile, you can claim back the tax on the difference between the company allowence and the IR maximum, which is 40p.
So, if you get 15ppm from your company, and you pay 40% tax, you will be able to claim back 40% of 35p, which is 14p (for the first 10,000 miles, then it drops down).

Hope this helps. RRS 4.2 S/C. Zermatt. Tints. Stormers. 150+ paint defects, wonkey bonnet, scratches, detached doorseal. suspension faults. To sum it up, a £60k pile of cr4p!
