I asked the salesman and he simply said, "The car has been stored at an off site storage facility and has travelled back and forth a few times after valeting etc." I couldn't get anymore out of him.

I was trading in the Freelander, but a friend of mine bought it off me for £22k cash (£1k more than dealer offered). He has a few customers interested already!

It drove away today, I will miss it! Sad Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

I had Buckingham Blue with Almond on my 2009, its a great combination, blue and ivory.

Its a beautiful car mate, it really is.....except for the back end. I have seen lots on the road here now and no matter what the colour combination, I just can't get used to the look of the back of the new RRS.

I have no axe to grind as I don't even own one now but the "old" model is just so much more resolved at the back. I think that the "new" model might look better with black exhausts, the chrome ones I have seen look a little puny on the car? Maybe is that plastic rear trim under the bumper? I am trying hard to like it and I am sure its a great car, but to some extent, the whole car lacks presence compared to the older model.

What am I missing, I really want to like it?

I'm really pleased with the colour combo too, I nearly changed to Ipanema sand, I'm glad I didn't.

I have to say I'm in the minority, I would never have looked at the Sport before the new one came out, to me it seems like a pimped out Discovery. Whistle

I've got used to the new back now, I wasn't sure at first!

The interior is the plus point, miles better than the prveious Sport and Discovery, now it's more like a FFRR.

Maybe one day you will begin to like it! Wink Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Hi Chris. The car looks stunning. Looking forward to getting my HSE Corris/Pano soonish... Can I ask if the mud flaps were fitted to your expectations? I'm almost certainly going to get a front & back pair as these cars seem to get very dirty at the back & I'm thinking that they're bound to help a bit.

It's just that I've heard a few horror stories regarding how the stealerships go about fitting these things and I'm considering asking them to supply only.....(Stratstone).

Do you think that they look good on the car? Would you say that they do keep the back of the car any cleaner than without?

Thanks,

Gal. MY14 RRS2, Corris, Pano, 50/50 Cirrus/Black leather, Meridien sound, 22" Style 6's, Bespoke Gap around tailgate.

Hi Gal,

The mudflaps are fitted perfectly, I've thouroughly checked all of them and they are all fixed into place properly, how they should be. I think they look great on the car, it looks a bit bare without them IMO.

I can't comment whether they keep the RRS any cleaner but I fitted them on my Freelander and found that less crud was thrown up the doors and rear than before they were fitted.

Hope this helps. Thumbs Up Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Chris

Which dealer did you get yours from. I need to get my mudflaps fitted and want to make sure they're put on properly!

Hi Widdle, I bought my car from Guy Salmon in Thames Ditton. Really helpful staff and had no issues with them except for the rear tailgate glass that was scratched. They are going to relocate the screen.

I'm in the middle of polishing it at the minute, then going to put some wax on and treat the interior. Very Happy Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil
