I just had a conversion with somebody and he insists that it was a Ford Cobra engine, that's why I asked.

I am 99% sure the V8 petrol engines (AJV8) are all made at Bridgend, - a large Ford Petrol engine factory. I believe some of the racing Jaguars in the USA have used the Ford V8 (i.e. cobra engine) in place of the AJV8, because it was an easier way to get a large capacity. I think the Aston Martin versions are assembled at Gaydon.

Current V8 petrols are made at Bridgend and TDV6 and TDV8's are made in Dagenham by Ford for Jaguar and Land Rover

Now I'm confused. All those engines are owned by Ford, but are the RR engines made by Jaguar or Ford (the parent company in the US.)

Sorry for the confusion.
