22" and is that too big???

My sport has just had a set of 22" onyx wheels put on with new tyres on each corner before its been delivered to me.
Dont get me wrong it looks amazing, however. Id like to know what the general consensus is on these bad boys.

is 22" too big? Shocked Im used to only ever having 19" on.

What a dilema.....

Thoughts would be good.

Cheers

All down to personal choice! There are many threads on this topic on here....

If you are used to driving a car with a stiff set up you will be quite happy on 22s, mine had standard 20s on when I got it and cornering was rather wayward in comparison with the notable reduction in body roll I have now on the same road. Took a Disco owning friend out he other day and he commented on how good the ride was in comparison to what he expected.

Drive it and see what you think, one thing is for sure - every time you walk towards it you will look and think, that looks great!!

Sure someone will offer a different opinion soon Smile TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s

If you use it as a RRS then 19s, 20s are OK for only good roads, 22s are no use to anyone except for selling new wheels and suspension spares.

Ill Take some pictures when I get it ... Cant come quick enough.

I think I will end up taking them off to be honest and getting some 20"

I dont want it too stiff a ride....

Let me know if you're selling the Onyx wheels, I've just bought three 22" Tiger alloys but can't seem to find a fourth!

Ive got 22" and the ride is fine, ok you have to swerve the pot holes, but that aint so bad.

you will sell the Onyx 22" many times over, so dont worry either way. Thumbs Up

Well, this is a first, a woman wondering if something is too big and looking for the smaller option Shocked Whistle Embarassed Rolling with laughter

I've only ever been in one RRS that had 22"s fitted and compared to the 20"s, the ride far far harsher around town. Motorway driving it didn't really offer up much difference, so I guess it depends on what sort of driving you're going to be doing really Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Mine came with 22's already on so I know nothing different, but the ride for me is certainly ok.....The nearest I'll come to 'off road' is parking her up on my very small driveway.. Laughing Potholes are my only concern at the moment, when I have some spare cash I will probably get myself a set of 20's though.....the pothole dodging can make a guy really dizzy. It was like typing out the script to a carry on film when I was asking if it was too big. Whistle

However, I think I will defo be getting a spare set of wheels, annoying really as I had the full set of mint MY11 wheels stolen last year. They were my spare set.

Doesn't Ady have a gazillion set of wheels, he always seems to be buying them, I'm sure he could sort you out a deal on a set.

In all seriousness, I'd change out the 22's if it were me, but I suppose, the best thing to do is drive the car when you get it and see what you think, who knows........you might enjoy the firm ride a 22"er can give Shocked Rolling with laughter ....... I am coming from a Civic Type R running on 235/35 R19, so even with the 22s my Range Rover rides like a magic carpet to me!
