Sweden 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
Retrofit?

I got my RRS Autobiography Dynamic two days ago, and because I didn't had the time to for a LR to build me one I bought a car at the show room meaning I couldn't spec the car.

I miss heated steering wheel, park assist, keyless entry and surrund cameras.

Can these be retrofitted? I know it may be expensive but anyway...

EDIT : Prices for retrofitting tow bar is 3000 GBP for the full electric one and 1500 GBP for the "manual" one.

I totally agree, no it's not standard on AB.

It's not that big deal really, because I usually needs the key fob anyway to open the trunk. But still!

The UK spec AB does have most of what you are missing, just short of the Park Assist.

The car I bought was originally planed to be shipped to Italy, I guess they don't need the heated steering wheel Smile

My guess is that retrofitting that lot will be extremely expensive if it can be done at all.

Part of the issue is the amount of work required to get at parts which would have been installed early in the build such as wiring looms. Then there is the fact you'll be buying the new parts you need as spares which are always much more than the contribution to the original build cost. Then there is the value tied up in the replaced parts which will form a pile on your garage floor - steering wheel, bumpers (for the park assist sensors), door mirrors and all the rest.

As a simple example, it costs three times as much to retrofit a real spare wheel to an Evoque as it originally cost as an option and this is very simple. The steering wheel might be doable if the wiring is already in place.

As it happens. I am not going for Park Assist - one person here has manage to damage his expensive allows after something went wrong in the process. I'm all for maximising visibility but don't think you can rely on the car "smarts" to work all the time. Mark

USA spec AB has nearly every option you can get with the car in the US. I'm surprised to hear this.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

Similar question.

I have an ex demo HSE Dynamic which has everything you listed except the heated steering wheel, which I had on my TDV8 and think I will miss in winter. I was very pleased to find a car specc'd with Park Heating which is another winter must have.
