The other secret apart from the products is to use the natural abrasive qualities of the grit on the cloth to remove Tar, bird droppings and insects from the paintwork Thumbs Up

This panel had the lot.

To be honest I have only ever washed them with snow foam and shampoo. I also just wipe them down with a quick detailer spray so the crud does not stick too much. I will clay bar them soon and see what the results are. I think you need to treat them the same as paint very gently.

LED lamp upgrade

Using my time productively, 2 new tail gate gas struts fitted and a big difference in the tail gate now, even the kids can open it Smile
Interior and rear plate lamps changed out and I'm very pleased with the results.

Worked on my headlights.

The halo rings awdman fitted failed so I decided to replace them with new ones only I could find any the same size (apart from getting a conversion done by someone else). When removing the old ones it pulled off all the paint on the clusters which the new LEDs don't cover. So had to really break the headlights done into bit to get them parts out so I can paint them.

I'm that Censored I've sent the new LEDs back for a refund and I'll do without lol.

Two faults fixed today hopefully.

1) New bonnet cath with microswitch to avoid alarm going off.

2) Fixed diesel leak from the injector. Took two attempts as the first time I put the new o ring on it popped out even though the clip was fitted. New clip fitted and tested now seems all ok.

Total parts cost £10.90. Dread to think what stealers would of charged.

Also been to price up the removal of the back box's with 3.5" inward rolled tall pipes just a shame the were booked up this week.
