Rubber floor mats

I was very pleased with the OEM Land Rover all weather heavy-duty rubber floor mats I had in my 2010 RRS. I now have a 2014 RRS, and ordered the same mats. However, the driver's side mat now is a truncated half mat that does not fully cover the floor. This means the carpet (especially near the dead pedal area where I place my left foot) is exposed to dirt/salt/water, etc. What a mess.

I'm hoping that this is just a U.S. thing, driven by our litigation-fearful friends at Land Rover US, and that the rest of the world (I'm looking at you, U.K.) still gets sensible full coverage mats that I can order and that might work on a US car.

Can any of you with the all weather mats help me out here? What do they look like on your side of the pond?

A tailored mat will not work as the steering wheel is on the other side, however the rubber mat shown in the UK brochure looks suspiciously like the one you described.

Fair point, but you still use your right foot for driving, correct? I'm hoping the only difference might be the hole for the retention hook, which I can live with for a full coverage mat.

Right foot, yes, but the footwell shapes must be different as the US and UK have different part numbers.

Interesting. The different part number might imply that I'm right in suspecting you folks get a full mat, not a half mat. Does anyone have a set that can post up an answer?

Yes they are 1/2 mats for the drivers side in the UK. I guessed it was to do with the accelerator pedal jamming issue they had with people fitting wrong mats? (Pure speculation on my part)

Well, it was worth a try. Thanks anyway. Guess I'll have to look to the aftermarket.

I think JLR are about the only bespoke manufacturer left that don't supply mats as standard. ---------------------------
