Real World MPG?

Hi all. Im new to this forum. Thinking very heavily about changing my current car to a RRS. Ideally want a 3.6 TDV8 but cost may slightly permit this. Also not been able to find one locally to have a drive of. I see that the 4.2 is considerably cheaper to buy and the MPG doesnt seem to be much less. Can anyone give me an idea what mpg can be expected from the 3.6 and 4.2? Ive disregarded the 2.7 at present as the figures look too slow. Would a remap improve the 2.7 considerably? The 4.4 looks to be the same price ish as the 4.2 so cant see why anyone would pick the 4.4? Thanks, Adrian

My 3.6 TDV8 averaged 24.6 over about 6000 miles of combined driving. Can't help you with the others though MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

all depending on Driving style but consider the petrol version to use double the amount of fuel.

Sounds like the obvious choice although ideally looking to spend under 20k and dont really want over 60(ish)k so might be pushing my luck!

They are out there within your budget and mileage . Strongly suggest getting somebody with a fault code reader to check for standing fault codes on any potential purchase . Just for pease of mind.

My TDV8 was bought for 20k it pulls like a train, and in return gives me around 26-27 mpg
Don't expect the 2.7 to get anywhere near its performance, as the 3.6 is a different beast completely.

Its horses for courses really.I dont find the 2.7 TDV6 slow Whistle

Despite what is being said about the 60 mph on the M1 being for eco reasons, and 55 being the optimum speed.
I get best fuel averages at 75-80mph. (with or without cruise control)

Around 30mpg. Rules are for the obediance of fools and the guidence of wise men
