Limp mode on acceleration

I would like to ask and see if its a common problem or not?
When I give it a boot from stand still it goes into limp mode after 2nd or 3rd and on the display it says lowered suspension fault or something along them lines, include restricted gears for safety on display.
Now this only happen when it bogs down and shifts along from start, but at no other time it will do it.
The indicator lights on the suspension switch goes out, and won't let me raise the car.
If I turn off engine remove keys, and restart all is fine.

Any help would be very gratefully received.

Yes unfortunately.
I've called the seller, and said once Christmas is out the way it's getting booked in, for a check.
Then I will relay what they say and go from there.

Unfortunately there may be a few reasons - I used to run the car then stop somewhere - pull of about an hour later & get exactly what you have. It got worse during the summer - the same spot on the way home from work - I used to boot it up a hill - it turned out to be a thermostat in the coolant hose - £15 & sorted. I can't believe it's just happened Sad . Hope it's a quick fix Thumbs Up My Sport was brought with my heart & not my head - it had compressor issues & the thermostat problem apart from that its been ok still Censored myself when the thing bleeps or lights up like a Christmas tree Sad
Good luck. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Just found this thread, sounds like a faulty fuel filter.

There are a few on here with the same problem.
I have the same problem. I changed fuel filter, fuel rail but still the same.
They are telling me it might be fuel pressure pump £1400

Good luck with yours

Does yours only do it on hard acceleration from stand still?

Ive since had two meetings with a jewler who is selling his 3.6, a genuine guy, he has assured me its mine and i pick it up Friday night. [/quote]

Genuine guy who wanted to offload a problem, it seems. I hope you get a quick and simple fix. It always pays to keep a couple of grand "float" tucked away to deal with RRS issues.

His wife used the car for school run and shopping, probably never got out of 30 mph zone, in 3 years she done 12000 miles, I got it, and withing 30 mins I was on motorway booting it.
I stand with my belief he is very genuine, and the car just lacked in being maintained properly and used properly.
